Why are we having a rash of mass killings? What has gotten into these people, that they want to go out and kill innocent people? What can be done to stop them? These are a few of the questions that millions of people have asked themselves every time this happens. The politicians start talking about gun control and back ground checks. But lets face it except for complete confiscation These sick people will find a way to get their hands on what ever they can to kill the people they want to. The millions of gun owners in America are for the most part law abiding citizen.

They would never think of taking another persons life. The only thing gun laws do is make it more difficult for the millions of legal gun owners. If you think the killers will follow the law to get a gun your seriously naive. The truth is, if your interested, the world has never been a safe place. Not even the current United States. There has always been and always will be people that want to do bad things. The more people there are in the world the more bad people there will be. In my opinion the more you crowd different people together the more violence you will have. Especially if they don’t have the same values and goals. Also in my opinion race has very little to do with it. You will always have people that envy what the other person or group has and thinks that they should share but that’s not what life is about. Some people are susceptible to believing people they think are above them or in some cases fall for group think. Meaning they fall into a group or gang and if the group or gang thinks a certain way that’s the way they should think.

The anti gun folks out there are grossly misguided. They feel that if the government takes away all the guns then they will be much safer. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The bad or just crazy people out there don’t care what the government does. As a matter of fact they would welcome the gun free country the anti gun people want. It would make it so much easier for them. What a gun does is afford a family a better chance at self protection. It equalizes a woman to a much larger man that wants to attack her. Or gives a fighting chance to a guy walking home and is confronted by another man or a gang. The bad guys aren’t going to call the cops and let them know their plans. They will pick their time and victim when its right for them. Chances are the cops won’t be around.

But lets say the anti gun people want to change the 2A. What will they have to overcome?

With our country as divided as it is the congress can’t decide what day it is much less any meaningful legislation.

If anyone thinks any of these would pass you obviously don’t have a grasp on reality. So all these politicians that say they would change the laws are blowing smoke up your butt to play up to a certain voting block. Now they have laws. on the books now that in my opinion violate the Constitution. Some of them have made it to the Supreme Court and been thrown out as unconstitutional. It looks like more are coming up to be challenged in the future. Time will tell how this turns out.
