An excerpt from the Stephen Colbert show with Elizabeth Warren.

“You keep being asked in the debates how are you going to pay for it, are you going to be raising the middle-class taxes… How are you going to pay for it? Are you going to be raising the middle-class taxes?” Colbert asked.

“So, here’s how we’re going to do this,” Warren responded. “Costs are going to go up for the wealthiest Americans, for big corporations… and hard-working middle-class families are going to see their costs going down.”

“So, I accept your point and I believe in your point,” Warren responded. “Health care is a basic human right. We fight for basic human rights, and that’s Medicare-for-all. Everyone gets covered.”

This is false! Health care is not a basic human right. Health care is what you provide for yourself. Men and women in the the health care service have spent years of their lives studying their profession. They have spent great sums of money that they expect to recuperate in their lifetime.

If you need medical care you pay for it, end of argument. If a doctor wants to treat you for free that’s on him or her.

Now the second amendment in the Constitution is a right. The right to self defense or the right to keep a government from abusing its power and becoming tyrannical. Its there for all to see and was written into our Constitution. No one that makes use of that right asks for the government to pay for it. As gun owners we pay for our own arms. What would people say if the government said we are going to tax everyone to put a gun in everyone’s hands its their right.

I have never claimed to be a great thinker or economist but even I can see how the insurance and the government has destroyed the health care system. The government taking over completely will make it a black hole that we will never recover from.
