Income Inequality
Income inequality refers to the extent to which income is distributed in an uneven manner among a population. Or so many reporters and organizations suggest. Distributed by who, the Government? I think that they have the reference wrong. It should be, the extent to which income is earned in an uneven manner among a population. See the difference? Income is not something that is distributed its earned and earning a income means you have a skill set that is wanted and a job pays a certain amount for that skill. It also will depend on where you live as to what that pay may be.
There is nothing wrong with making a boat load of money. This is what our country was founded on. You could come here and had the freedom to make your own way. You could be as successful or poor as you choose to be. There is no law that says you can make billions of dollars but if you do you have to give a portion of that to the people that make less than you. If you choose to help the less fortunate, that would be your choice. People come here to America to find their dream. To become as successful as they can, for the most part.
Income inequality is a real thing. We do have very rich and we have very poor. But its being used to divide us. No matter how much the richest among us gave to the poorest, it would not make things better. The money would be better used in educating the poor. In the form of teaching them to manage their money. Living within their means and not buying things they can’t afford. Building education centers to teach skills that will provide good paying jobs. Making those schools affordable to the poorest among us. But not free! The rich could give billions away to the poor but they would and go broke doing it and within a few years they would be back in the same boat. They have to want to move up and do better. Some only need a hand up to make it. Others will always just scrap by because they don’t want to put in the effort to dig themselves out of the hole they are in.
Don’t make it a bad thing to being successful. Don’t make the successful out to be the bad guys that use our current laws to pay as few taxes as possible. We all do that! The richest among us are providing the jobs that let people make a living. Some jobs are better than others but if you don’t have the skills to do them you have to get a job that you can do. It may mean you will work at a lower pay than you want but what is stopping you from learning a different trade or skill? The answer is your not motivated to do it. You get stuck in a rut and you just don’t want to put in the effort to better yourself so you stay at the income level your at. A lot of people do move up though. They go to night school or trade school and find better jobs. Not everyone is cut out to be wealthy or successful. Very few will be well off financially in life. But with careful planning and hard work they could retire with a nice nest egg.
